Many countries copied the Netherlands as an example. We were first with equal marriage and good laws. But the world does not stand still. Other countries move forward now. The Netherlands stays still or goes backward. This cannot happen, says the organisation.

COC sees different problems. Transgender people have many problems still. Work discrimination happens regularly. Young gays are bullied in schools often. COC also wants more help for asylum seekers. They flee because of their sexuality.

The organisation wants the government to spend more money. Money for education and protection is needed. The Netherlands must show it cares about these people. This also helps fight homophobia in society.
